SS Brake Lines Help!!!!!!

Hi All!

I've been searching a lot lately regarding correct Brake Lines for my Fit.

I know some countries have rear disc brakes and some have rear drum brakes.

What i have is a rear drum brake and i am not sure what type of SS brake lines should i get?

- 4 pcs.? If yes, what should be the shorter cable look like?
- 6 pcs.? If yes, then rear disc and drum have same cables?

I would like to verify since seeing J's website re: SS Brake Lines, the 2 shorter lines have the same ends while checking RHD site with Mugen and APP have different ends for the shorter line.

Which one should i get? Also, should i get the one that comes with brackets?

Here is the link of brake lines that have different ends for the shorter cable

Here is the link of J's racing brake lines

J'S RACING GE6-9 ブレーキラインシステム ST(リアドラム車専用) - J'S RACING JAPAN

Hope i didnt confuse you all!

And thanks for the info in advance :D

If you have drum, then you will need the 4 piece kit. Only rear disc use the 6 piece kit.

The kit you get should include all the correct hardware and brackets needed for the install.

Thank you for the reply 1SVZ. Though the question remains what exactly does the shorter line's ends look like? is it the one on the J's racing link or with the Mugen/APP link? Because their shorter lines have different ends.

And anyone can help where you exactly put the shorter line? will it be at the rear or underneath the car. Cuz i know for the GE8 with rear disc brakes, the longer lines go at front.

I hope someone here can also post pics of installation of their SS Brake Lines. I've been searching but to no luck

TIA!

+1 rep to you sir!

Now by looking at your lines setup for the rear, there are 2 lines/cables. Does the SS Brake Line goes directly to the drum brake? or is it still that black/rubber line that goes to the drum? Or am i missing something? LOL

Don't know how to view your picture.. Not sure if its upside down or what.

Much appreciated! :D

That's the top of the rear beam, the SS brake line attaches in the middle to the hard lines on each end. When you get your kit and go to install them you'll see exactly what you need to do. It's a straight forward install, hardest part is bleeding the sytem to make sure you don't have air stuck in the lines.

would you remember though what ends did the shorter/rear cable you have? does it have the same ends or different ends?

Also you rockin those Goodridge G-Stops? Again, Thanks!

Yeah I have the goodridge lines so everything bolted up with no problems, everything matched up.

My guess is the pictures on those links are using stock photos from similar brake line kits.

Which ever kit you decide on I'm sure you won't have any issues. Especially since J's and Mugen love Honda's I'm sure they wouldn't sell a kit that doesn't bolt up correctly. If goodridge got it right, I'm sure J and Mugen got it right too.
