Function & Form Type 2 Coilovers - Rear Panel Cover & Ride Quality

Hey guys!

I recently purchased and installed F2 Coilovers for my GE.

I have 2 concerns:

1) The rear panel cover(as shown below) won't fit back in because of the dampening knobs. Has anyone who had these coilovers have this problem?Name: 20150427_220130_zpsqfrdt5ax.jpg

2) I have read reviews about these coilovers around the forum and it seems everyone had the same conclusion of the ride quality being alright. But I feel every bump on the road. I know it might be because I might need softer springs, play with the dampening settings a little more, or let it settle since I barely installed it about 3 days ago. It's a little annoying that its very bouncy. The car are on 14" steelies with about one finger gap. Its temporary while I order my new set of wheels (17x7 +30 or +35)
Do you guys have any suggestions? Any would help. Thanks in advance

I'm having the same issue with my BC Racing coilovers as well. I've managed to get it to ride better by reducing the preload on the rear spring. However I think the rear needs some more tweaking as I now have clunking at lower speeds (nothing at highways speed), and it's still a little harsh.

I softened the dampers for both front and rear; it got a little better(still a little bouncy than im used to) but my front passenger dampening knob doesn't seem to get maxed out. it keeps turning and turning .
I called F2 about it and they said that its unlikely to be stripped and that I might just need to re-tighten the knob part

My issue was solved by backing off the preload on the rear springs

i have the same coil overs, ff type two's and know how you feel about the ride quality... lol its quite bouncy when going over bumps. I've messed and tried setting the preload on the rear many times and is still quite bouncy since it feels like all the bounciness is coming from the rears. so I'm planning to swap the coil springs with some swift metrics. I've heard of a slammed fit ge with the same coils.. and he said after switching to swifts.. it was a lot better. I'm planning on doing the same and will let you know about it. and it is also the same for me for the rear panel.. i gave up

Stiffer sidewalled tires can help with bounciness also. With higher spring rates the tires start flexing more as they are the weakest link.
