Where to go to fix tires?

I have an '09 Fit Sport with Dunlop tires (with less than 5,000k on them). Today I noticed a nail in my back right tire, close to the sidewall but not on it. Do I have to go to a dealer to have the tire fixed (if it can be fixed) or can I go to a regular tire shop? I'm concerned because of the TPS: can a tire be worked on or replaced without the dealer resetting or doing something to the TPS? Could I go anywhere and have the tire replaced?

Thanks for everyone's help!

Most tire places should be able to put a small plug in the tire where the nail was. Should be pretty cheap and shouldn't interfere with the TPS. I think most places are between $15-$25 to put a plug in the hole.

I went to Discount Tires last time and they did it for free
Get there early or you will be waiting for eternity

^^ Even better! But yeah, most tires shops should be able to do it. I think there are even kits to do it yourself. But I would probably want to have a tire shop do it for something important like a tire.

dont waste ur time and money at a dealer.

try a big chain like discount tire or even pep boys...but if u don't wanna wait, try a local small tire shop like a mexicali or something.

They'll probably just probe a plug in there that looks like licorice. But if at all possible, have them do a patch from the inside. that guarantee's the plug, instead of the licorice plug.
