Hey guys, I've asked before, but I really want to get my stock rims painted. Any suggestions on how they should be painted (type of paint and method)? I want the finish to last, so whats the best way? Thanks

If you want cheap do plastidip on them then spray any color u want over it, basically if you get scrapes or chips u can peel it right off and do it over cheap.

you could just spray without plastidip, but u cant return to normal and if u get scrapes/chips its harder to touch up.

most money: powdercoat although they will sandblast stock finish off so you get a really nice crisp repaint and it will last longer and is more durable than the rest. powdercoating is prob gonna be about 100-150 per wheel depending on media blasting or not.

Thanks for the reply. Powder Coating seems to be the way to go. The price seems reasonable for a real durable finish. I assume any body shop can powder coat?

I will be Red plasti dipping 2 of my wheels in about a week. After Plasti-dipping front and rear bumpers in spots, I cant wait to try it on my wheels.

Ill post pics of how it turns out

No, go to a powdercoater. Since you're handing him 4 wheels, try to bargain with him. I'll bet you could get outta there for $200 - $300.

Remember, you have to remove the tires and valve stem. That costs money. The best would be to do all this WHEN you need new tires.

Not the best picture with reflections, rain drops, taken by my phone rather than camera. Waiting on a set of centering caps to mount these.

I really like the way those came out. What kind of wheel is that?

What color fit is it going on?
