re: better winter tires
Hi everyone,
I am looking for winter tires for my 2011 base fit. I have narrowed it down to Blizzak WS-60 or Michelin X-ICE I2. Does anyone have any experience with either tire?
Thanks

We liked the Blizzak LM-25's on the Fit. I looked hard at the Michelins for winter tires for my Cruze, and they were second to the Nokians I ended up getting.
I'd lean to the Michelins since the Blizzaks only have snow tire tread for half the tread. The Michelins will likely last another season or two over the Blizzaks.

wtf are you talking about? i'm still on the same set of WS-60s for the 3rd year with plenty of tread left. are you talking about the sipes? cause i have no idea what "snow thread" means. i have no idea what the michelins are like but with WS-60s i've never been stuck or have trouble driving (common sense added into the equation too of course.) also have WS-7Os if you want a review on those as well =P person i liked the revo-1R but they were sadly discontinued

I actually just purchased a set of Pirelli Winter 190 Snowcontrol, which are a performance winter tire for my base Fit. They may not be as good in the snow as the XIce or Blizzaks, but should do better in fuel economy and still do good in the snow. I will do a review when I put them on the car this winter.
