getting 16x7 +35 wheels, need tire help

im lowered on t1r s-coils and im having trouble deciding between 195/45/16 and 205/45/16

royalflush313 02-17-2012 06:12 PM

Im running RS-R Superdowns with 16x7 +35 offset, 205/45/16 and there is no rubbing.

The rear could probably come out another 5mm to be flush with the fenders, the front is pretty tight and actually sticks out a little bit.

Right now I'm seeing if I could move to 50 series tires and have no rubs, but I have a feeling it might.

awesome, thanks. I'm actually on the fence about these wheels now, they are gun metal rota rb. Im not sure how theyll look on my fit.

The next set of wheels I buy will be 16x7 +40 all the way around with 10mm spacers in the back (or something in that dimension).
I don't rub now but I wouldn't mind the front wheels to be tucked in further just a touch.

If that is your Fit as your avatar gunmetal rims would look fine on your car.

im also looking at some 16x7 +40 konig runaways which i think might look better although they are a bit pricier

These are my Rota's 16x7 +38 mounted on 205/45/16. I'm lowered on DF210's

205/50/16's would fill in the gap pretty well. With the 205/45/16, my speedometer is off by 3.5mph.

No rubbing at all! Just make sure your tires are 205/45/16. I don't know if these will rub with stock tires or 205/50/16's

for those not sure what tire size to get for 16s, get 195/50/16. Your welcome.

mike410b 05-09-2012 10:55 PM

Take those stickers off.

205/50 will rub unless you dial in some camber and do fender mods. I am running that size on stock wheels and rub all the time (2-3 times a day). Almost completely worn through my fender liner even though it is already trimmed away on the front.

BTW, I am dropped on TeinS springs and drive semi conservative. Most times it rubs is on dips in the freeway.

Go with 195/50 and just a touch of camber and you will be fine.
