Its time for new tires and my buddy has a brand new set of 205/60/15's that he will sell me cheap.
im already rocking LS Meshies with 195/55/15 and it clears my fenders no problem, and im lowered on Tein S tech springs 1.6'' drop. do you think I can clear 205/60/15's ? *** LS meshies are 15x6 45 offset Attachment 14606 Attachment 14607 Attachment 14608 Attachment 14609 Attachment 14610 |
On LS Mesh it should be fine. What is the offset and width on those? 15x6 +50 or something like that?
I rub on 205/55/15 with S.Techs on HARD turns, like full compression, so I had to tuck my fender liners back a little, but that's with 15x6.5 +40. You might be fine. If anything it won't be a big deal and definitely nothing that camber bolts wouldn't fix. |

Here is the front on my 205/55/15 15x6.5 +40 with S.Techs
Attachment 14605 It's close, and since the springs aren't stiff, it rubbed a little on full compression, like I said, tucking fenderliners and pulling the tabs back fixed it, I didn't have to roll, pull, or even add camber bolts. At the worst you might have to add bolts but they're cheap, like $35, but you'll have to get the car aligned if you add them, because it will also effect your toe when you add the camber because of the suspension design. I am assuming in the pictures you have that is with 195/55. |
yeAH I HAVE 195/55 . ILL PROLLY JUST GET 205/55 INSTEAD OF THE 60'S AND PLAY IT SAFE.

What tires are you planning on getting?

Ge8 fit meant help 205/55/15
How do you tuck fenderliners and pulling the tabs I'm new to this vehicle modifications can you please help
|
So you see the fender liner comes out over the side of the fender a little bit? If you pull the screws holding the liner in at the top of the arch you can then push the liner in and up over the tabs that were originally holding it in place (the tab for the screw, leave the screw out). Then bend the tabs up to hold it in place.
It's hard to describe but just poke around under there and you might see what I mean. I also cut out the front tab where the liner screws into the bumper, the flat square section. That is one of the major offenders for rubbing. I'll take pics some time and send them to you. |
Thanks for your help I really appreciated I want my ge8 to look simple but cool like yours. Yeah if you don't mind sending me pictures that would be greatly appreciated thank for your reply
