What size wheels to get?
 

I wanted to buy a rota fighter and use my stock tires which I believe is 15. I see online with different sizes like 15 x 6, 15 x6.5 does this matter and for the fit is it 4 x 100 or 5 x 100? btw I have a 2013 black fit which im planning to lower it an inch and already bought a lowering spring for it.

If I'm gonna buy another set of wheels, I always go up one size for a better tire patch which gives better handling and at the same time fills the wheel wells after lowering. Why people buy the same size rims I never understand. If I kept the same size I'd just put better/wider tires on the stock wheels.

Unless you have converted the car to 5-lug you can only use 4x100

Is 15x6.5 the widest they have available? what offset is avilable?

I would personally suggest you go with 16x7.5 (+35 offset if possible)

if dark wheels go 17", if lighter color wheels 16" or 17"


15's are tiny on the GE's.

I decided to go with a 17inch wheels. Would that be too big? I'm also doing an inch - inch 1/4 drop. I confirmed with several tire shops and they said it should look nice but what do you guys think. Btw it's a bronze 17" on a black 2013 fit

It is not just 16 vs 17. It is the size tire you put on and when lowered most improtant to have the correct offset otherwise you will be rubbing.

I'm planning on replacing my stock sports with the same size 15" aftermarket rim. Why? Weight savings. I considered 16s but then there goes my unsprung weight savings I'm after. My future setup will only be 27lbs per corner instead of the current 35.

Some people don't care and put big rims and heavy performance tires on for the show of it.

I went to 17s from 14s on my 89 prelude and the car drove like crap, too rough on bumps, easy to bend rims, loud tires, and actually made it slower. I gained a bit of handling but that's it.

The Fit has a tiny motor so small lighter wheels play nice with the engine.

Would 2013 fit look weird with a 17" wheels with 1 1/4 inch drop?

If you want to keep as close to the stock diameter as possible you'd want to go with a size 205/45/R17 tire with 17" rims. Good luck!

17x7 or 7.5 with a +35 to +42 offset will be good.

Like said 205/40/17 or 205/45/17 or even 195/45/17 just depends on how much wheel well gap you want and the sidewall look.

If you go a lower offset with a 7.5 wheel you might want to consider adding camber bolts to the front to give a tick of neg camber.

17 x 7 et42 or 47 seem popular.

go for a 16's with the 16's you can just choose a tire size thats not to big and you can actually go lower, with 17's you got limited space to lower

I got 17's already and I'm lowering it only inch and a quarter. I got it done already and came out good

The preferred specs for Fit wheels is 4x100 bolt circle, 12mm studs, offset from 45 to 55mm and rim width 6 to 7".
Make sure hub bore fits and spokes clear calipers.
The diameter can be 14,15,16, orr 17" as long as you keep the tire diameter close to OEM, say 23.44" diameter.

Does anyone know where I can get a base roof rack that I can adjust the placement myself? Because a lot of them I found has placement where you are suppose to have it. I'm putting a Yakima snowboarding racks and the measurement doesn't fit with the binding on the snowboard.
