Is the Hks silent hi power muffler a good buy? Looking into a muffler and seriously considering this one
I really liked mine I had on my Civic. High quality material, great fit and it sounded nice (on my Civic). I bought it used and it still looked great. I gave it to my brother who had it welded to fit his Prelude and it sounded great on that too.
Not the same vehicle but I have a video of my Civic with one on it. 1.7L engine as opposed to 1.5L. I'll post later just for fun.
Yes I did it by myself I asked a guy who works in a muffler shop to install it for me and they are asking about 80 dollars and it’s an easy job to do so I prefer you just do it , I love doing DIY on my car it’s really fun. And it cost me about 320 dollars
Hope I am not reviving the dead here, Am considering the HKS silent Hi-Power 'axle back' exhaust. There are many (many) posts on youtube, but few really address whether the exhaust note tends to drone. lots of rev-rev but very little constant speed driving to inform. Anyone have any insight? I have a 2019 fit (lx) with a 6mt.
Thanks!
maybe a little backstory here! My former Ford Focus had a cat-back system. What made it so nice is that at ~2500rpm, the somewhat aggressive exhaust note would slowly melt away. At highway speeds (~3K, just like the fit), the exhaust note was very subdued. I would like to recreate that if possible.
Nevermind! Installed.
