No Body Kit? Side skirts?

This car like the previous generations would look better with a body kit. Why would Honda not add them for this gen? OPINIONS, please...

This is like their hatch version of the latest Civic, they could really care less about how it looks. I admit though, it would look a lot better with a nice body kit.

Mugen Fit looks pretty good imo, really helps cover up the crappy styling of the GK,

I got to test drive a manual LX polished metal metallic yesterday, and I had a hard time getting into the look of it without the body kit. Salesman informed that they should be getting in some EX and EX-L's soon. I guess I'll really know when they come in.

Body kits not available from Honda? Maybe not in the US but am sure these can be ordered from Japan. Just order the RS skirts (like JapanTragic's RS). JDM pricing and shipping stateside might be shocking though.

Now that China has been selling GK's since May, some enterprising company there will start listing a whole bunch of body add-ons sooner than we expect.

IMO, the preceding pics further makes a regular US Fit look way more appealing. Again, the wife tells me I'm trying to hard to keep up with you guys on this forum. No forthcoming accessory budget increase. Will leave if up to you boys to further turn me green with envy!!!

I'm curious as to how much the body skirts and such weigh as a whole.

After looking at the pictures of the JDM model you posted, I agree. I wish the US Fit would have included the lower side skirts like the GE Sports. I am not a big modder, but I would install these, if they were available. I would also buy a performance Fit with higher HP and a body kit, if one were available as well!

Good news cause they are available from the Land of the Rising Sun. PM JapanTragic and he may order it and ship to you. Instant solution!!! Costly? Possibly, but it is certainly available. I know cause I asked him last March.

I'm wondering about the same thing. Perhaps Honda excluded them for weight issues and mpg, but the kit seemed okay on the previous generations.

The Mugen kits look good to me. I wonder if a USDM version will ever become available.

Are there any links available with bodykits for purchase? whether in japan or elsewhere?

I'm wondering how easy it would be to install the body kits.

does anyone have the part #s for both USDM and JDM versions for the hatch? wondering if the Jazz RS spoiler and taillamps will fit

im guessing the sideskirts should fit since the chassis should be the same between the two

I know in previous gen Fits, the entire front end was different between USDM and JDM, so im guessing the projector JDM headlamps won't fit..

both front and rear bumpers on the JDM are different from USDM bumpers

if you look closely, you can tell that USDM bumpers stick out more than JDM bumpers
unless you get the bumper too, else JDM lip kit will not fit on USDM Fit

on the other hand, side skirts should fit no problem

My opinion is I'm grateful to Honda these are no longer standard, as they were on the Sport. Some of us who want a higher trim level want neither a reduction in ground clearance, nor additional trim to trap road salt behind.

That said, it would be nice if Honda USA offered at least the RS rocker panel trim as a dealer installed accessory for those of you who would like it. I can see where they might be somewhat limited to what they could offer for the front and rear without more crash testing.

Weight....next to nothing.

Like, 10 pounds max between front lip/side skirts/rear spoiler/rear lip.
