Hi, I have a 2010 Fit and now I got my second one, a 2015. In my 2010, the trunk sides like for example the pillars are covered with plastic panels. In the 2015, they're covered in some kind of cloth or fabric, not hard plastic, and just by pushing one side with my baby's stroller it made a "dent" (if that's even the right term) in it. I also wonder how sound proof that kind of covering is. Am I missing something? Does Honda not use plastic panels in the trunk anymore? Or are they one of the many expensive "options" like the cargo area cover that we have to pay a ridiculous price for? Thanks!

 

Yup, in my 2015 it's some fabric. It deforms, and if you move it around you can spring it back to normal. Who knows how it'll hold up in the long term.
