i thought there was a previous thread about this but this but couldn't find it .i have a year old '19 LX , it's the dark gray gun metal color ( modern metal ? ) and
seems to scratch very easily in spots .i'm going to wax it for the first time finally , but that shouldn't be the issue , it doesnt seem to be that tough . my silver '02 SI
didn't have these issues , and i went 240k with it over 16 years

Your last car being silver made a big difference. Lighter colors do not show imperfections as easily. Darker colors always will. Silver and white hide them best while black is the worst.

Ceramic coating is a great way to protect it.

 

Wait until you put a little pressure on parts of the roof and it dents easily!
