Changing the Clock
My 2016 Honda Fit EX did not. Does not. Never has.
I changed it manually, and annoyingly it seems to have some function where it adds a minute, for example if you are trying to set it for 5:49 it adds a minute and becomes 5:50. If you go under will add 2 minutes...took me way too long to finally trick it into selecting the right time. Eventually I set it for 5:49, but waited for it to be 5:50, knowing it would automatically add the minute as soon as I hit set.
I'm sure I'm doing something wrong and making it harder than it has to be. But...it eventually worked.

Clock answer
I found out the answer. Not sure when this began, but my 2019 Fit has it. You can set something in 'settings', which asks if you want the clock to adjust automatically.
Mine must have been preset that way, and I did not know. But I really like it.

Completely unrelated, OP, your location shows as New Mexico- are you in or near Albuquerque? I had contacted Scarebird brakes a while back asking if they would be interested in making a rear disc conversion for the Fit, and they said they needed a sample car to measure to make the brackets. There's been a rear disc setup posted on the forum recently, but it's using parts from Taiwan and there's probably several people here who (like me) would be happier with a kit that used factory discs available in the US.
On a slight tangent, my Odyssey (2016) has an auto-setting for the time as well, but it sets itself ahead three minutes. It drives my wife nuts, so I leave it as is.
haha
Actually the date/time and a lot of additional information is carried on local FM broadcasts in a hidden carrier. If the time was to change again right now your car would pick up the change on an incoming FM signal and reset the car clock to match. This only happens on newer FITs, not earlier models which don't have the additional electronics for this to happen. This is the Radio Data System (RDS) and Wiki has a lot of info on it.
Sure, but it's extra programming and it could drive you crazy as you drive in and out of different times zones or Arizona. I'm annoyed just by driving on I-684 when my GPS says welcome to CT and then welcome to NY close together.
