I'm not sure. It's says increased performance but I'm sure it's not noticeable.

didn't know this stuff was available . while had my '02 SI i would check periodically them to see if they were making an MSD box
available for the K motors , no such luck . MSD is the real deal , not a dress up accessary for your engine bay . i had MSD units in 3 of my previous cars .
that said , i'm not sure about the benefit of the coils , it's my understanding Hondas use a fairly hot spark in their engines anyway . if they have actual
multi-spark technology , that's another story . you will feel the difference and with better MPG to go with it . anyway , somebody needs to volunteer and
put a set in his fit so we can see a review .

Anything that gives me more mpg is worth it. I'm gonna try them out.

according to literature , these are actual multispark pieces , much better way to go , if you don't mind shelling out $700
for coil packs . keep in mind aftermarket coil packs can be problematic .

Ignition upgrade yields nothing, until you go forced induction.

Had MSD SCI box installed back in the days on 6th gen Accord V6, did not make a difference whatsoever other than wasting several hundred dollars.

Take out the existing OEM coil packs, mask off bottom area, high heat paint the top portion. Boom, red ignition coils.

sorry , but it won't be MSD red , any discerning engine bay connoisseur will spot the difference , or you could just
buy them in black , that way no one will know you've spent $165 just to downgrade the reliability of your stock ignition .

My experience is that very few non-OEM coils will deliver long-lasting performance to the OEM coil. The Delco LS coils are specific by BMW as replacement coils to BOSCH. Mazda rotary engines use Mazda OEM coils (they're DENSO) but LS coils have shown to have longer-lasting reliability due to the under the hood extreme temperatures from the rotary. Aside from the Delco LS coils, the only set of coils that have shown long-lasting performance is the BHR coil set: https://black-halo-racing.myshopify....nition-upgrade with proven life on RX-7 and RX-8s.

I've had more problems with "performance coils" on my Thunderbird than I did with regular OEM coils. All these do is throw off the computer and cause random CEL and misfire issues especially if you're not tuned or forced induction. The stock coils on most cars are not the issue up until the high horsepower range where you're running race fuel or something.

been researching MSD coilpack reliability issues , just finished reading a bunch of reviews . good grief ! maybe around two 3rds ,
maybe more , report them not getting through a year without a failure . a common thread is , " good thing i saved the original factory packs " ,

That's what the rotary engine community has found - almost all other coils are unreliable (and usually cheaper "at first"). Mazda did indeed do a bunch of research and found the DENSO coils to be fit for use. GM LS1 coils used on the LS engine are better (reliability and voltage/current control). The best are the ones sourced by BHR Racing and are warranted for life on the rotary engine. The key for rotary engines, a great consistent spark is required to ensure no misfires. Misfires lead to apex seal wear and premature rotary engine failure.
