Snow Tires On

There's snow in the forecast for tomorrow, so I put the snow tires on one of our Fits. Then I had to remove them and put them back on again. Why? Michelin X-Ice directional tires. Just by coincidence, I had put all four on facing the wrong way. The originals are just about worn out, at 29,264, so I'll bring the wheels into town and get new ones. No rush.

It was nice removing the wheels using my new DeWalt cordless impact wrench, with no long air hose to drag around. I put Never Seize on mating surfaces and wheel studs.

I love my Michelin X-Ice tires in snowy weather. I'm using them on my Fit also.

I'm not sure that Never Seize should be put on wheel studs because it is a lubricant and there's a lot of controversy over lubricants potentially affecting torque readings when you put a wheel on.
