wiper options
Soon after I bought my 2016 Fit used, I mistakenly got rid of the original front wipers, not knowing that they used replaceable rubber inserts. The after market 28" and 14" disposable wipers I have been using for a couple years have been horrible. Recommendations on what to do? Has anyone found disposable wipers that are OEM style that work well--I found a few advertised on Amazon for about 18$ for the pair. Or would you recommend I get the Honda wipers again, so I can start using the inserts when they need replaced? BTW, what I mean by "OEM Style" is that they would be the kind of floppy/droopy style that I remember the originals were like when I took them off a couple years ago--but just in a disposable wiper, since as far as I can see, there is no way to get the exact OEM wiper that uses inserts except from a dealer or from Hondaparts.now. Or is there?
Scrap yard. Any 2015-20 Fit will have the same wipers. You just have to find one where the wipers are in good condition. Check with local yards or look online - I believe some yards list parts online and there's also eBay. Local is better because you can go down and actually see the parts before buying them.
Just found this listing on Amazon, that seems to be the OEM wiper blades with inserts, and an extra insert for each one, for 20$. Any knowledge of this company, or whether they might be worth trying?

lol..i just went down this road...i bought after market wipers and i could see before i even used them they wouldn't tension on the windshield.....went to the dealer and said....what the difference between wipers and inserts....well wipers 80 inserts 12....bought inserts. as additional info the new long insert is exactly 2x length of short insert, so will be going back to check on price of short vs long cut in half!...sadly +1 for oem inserts
After much disappointment with various wipe blade brands, I think I have finally found the best one, IMO: Bosch Icon. Yes, they cost more, but they work very well and seem to be holding up so far. Also, for many years, I have used Rain-X liquid on my windshield regularly (or wax). This allows rain to bead and run off the glass.
