Question about changing wheels for the Fit 3
Question about changing wheels for the Fit 3
Hi everyone, I am thinking to change TE37 Sonic for my Fit 3. Is it 6.5J 45 16 perfect fit for the car? I don’t want the wheels pass the fender line. If you guys owned TE37 on fit 3 please share photos
thanks

thanks
Well, the stock 16" rims are 16x6. EX rim has 53 offset and Sport rim has 48 offset. So Sport rims would stick out 5 mm more than EX rims.
First, you're talking 6.5, so it's tiny bit wider to begin with. And 43 offset means it'll stick out a tiny bit more there, also.
I have Enkei PF01 16x7 43 on my '19 EX, so it does stick out a bit. But it actually looks more "correct" in the rear because the stock wheels look sunk in.
Front does stick out a bit, but I don't mind it too much. Better handling I guess LOL.
On a different note, I'm a bit surprised (to put it nicely) that Volk Racing doesn't publish weights of these rims, considering how expensive they are. Hmm...
PF01's at my size are spec'ed to be 14.0 lbs each. Not cheap, but not super expensive, either.

stock has them too far in . one inch sounds like a lot up front , but really , that also looks correct as compared to stock . with 195 55's on the car , i wouldn't say they are bulging out of the fenders at all . and the whole set up feels more stabile on the highway . the increased track up front tames what i would call the slight twitchiness in the steering . i was a little worried about going with that offset
with that width . but turns out that was the way to go

I saw from other forum TE37 Sonic 16’ just 5KG per 1 wheel only.
Using the willtheyfit calculator, compare with your 7J43 if I choose 6.5J 38 will less 1.3mm, Yes it is a super little bit…Do u think 1.3mm is good enough? If I choose 6.5J 45 will less 8.3mm. Which one you will recommend?
God, it is so difficult to find any compare picture on web…
I just want to looks straight in front tyre.
Try the Rim & Tire Size Calculator at www.wheel-size.com
Put the stock values on the left, and put the desired values on the right.
It will tell you all kinds of information, including "Fenders."
For example, if I put in standard '19 EX info on the left, and put 16x6.5J45 with 195/16R55, it'll stick out 14mm further.
The numbers will be different if the starting point is Sport, rather than EX, and so on and so forth.
By the way, just like bill bosco, I run 195, rather than 205. I hate skinny tires.
