Just finished putting some lift spacers on the front and fitted some new wheels and tires. Comes dangerously close to rubbing might have to cut the front side of the fenders to ensure clearance while turning over bumps. But I think she's looking pretty good.
What kind of lift are you getting (mm or inches), from center of hub to center of hub (i.e. excluding wheel/tire contributions)?
not sure I put the wheels and tires on at the same time, overall it sits about 3 inches higher. It should be about 1.25 from the spacers and the rest from the tires. The rear springs which I haven't done yet are supposed to gain 1.5 inches.
I would love to know how you like the lift, this looks great!
Also, how has this affected the ride and mpg?
After a few weeks if driving I finally got around to getting the rear springs installed which was much easier than I thought it was going to be and only took an hour maybe. I installed the ecotech 2in hitch while I was at it. To answer your questions I think the ride quality is actually better now with the larger sidewall tires. The rears rubbed when I hit larger bumps in the road but I knew I needed to finish the lift to solve that. The gas mileage is worse but by how much I'm not sure as the speedo is now off by 6 or 7 mph at highway speeds. I'm guessing I'm down 4 or 5 mpg overall. I'm super happy with it next up adding a brake controller for our tiny camper (it only weighs about 750lbs but I'd feel better about the transmission if it had trailer braking for some of the mountains we will be going through.
