I recently purchased a replacement radio unit for my 2016 Honda Fit since my old radios screen was broken. Swapping the units was fine until I powered on my car and was unable to get the new units audio to work. If you see in the pictures it asks me to press and hold power for more than 2 seconds. After doing that and it beeps a couple times, it switches to the Audio Off screen. At that screen I am still unable to press anything or do anything further. Am I missing something? Please let me know if there is anything else for me to try. Also the backup camera works and I am able to switch some setting around, just no audio.
■ Reactivating the audio system
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
2. Turn on the audio system.
3. Press and hold the audio system power button for more than two seconds.
The audio system is reactivated when the audio control unit establishes a connection with the vehicle control unit.
If the control unit fails to recognize the audio unit, you must go to a dealer and have the audio unit checked.
so "old school"was the 5 digit anti theft code. "new school"....and sadly I'm old....it no 5 digit code needed.!!...BUT i think the radio is keyed to the ECU. i think if you installed an aftermarket radio you'd be fine, but swapping stock radios im pretty sure requires hondas help.....OR desauder the oem info chip and put in new head unit???.....maybe,never heard of that....i just disconnected my battery today and got the same message, but it was fine...because my radio is stock and keyed to ecu.
had a 1999 honda with the 5 digit code for 15 years, so was curious what the bought brand new 2015 has....THERE IS NO CODE!
probably the reverse camera is a safety thing..so it "works", it just sounds like no music for you because it THINKS its stolen......eeesh who would steal a stock radio!...personally i think your hooped, unless you can get honda involved

There 100% is an anti-theft code. You have to have a Honda dealer look up the code with the unit's serial number. The code is entered with the preset number buttons at the "Hold power button for 2 secs" screen.
Huh...live and learn. thing is i disconnected my battery (probably about 3 times) and it NEVER asked me for a code(not that i would even know it) and i bought the car brand new.
i wonder what your suppose to do with the top secret code ?

You don't need the code if you disconnect the battery, only if you replace the radio.
