Any variations of 2018-2020 models?

Hello, I am going to trade in our 2016 EX-L for a 2018 to 2020 EX-L mostly to gain the extra front end collision safety features for my wife. Are there any variations in 2018, 2019, or 2020 models or are they all the same?

I ask this because we got nailed with the infamous fuel injector issue on our 2016 and it cost nearly $2000 to repair, dealer claim our car did not fall into the VIN range for the service bulletin. I'd like to avoid issues like that at all cost.

Those models are all the same. Not sure what you mean by variations. They have both pre-face 2015-2017 and facelift 2018-2020 versions.

Almost all cars are going to have some sort of problems. Start doing your research on what years have the most issues.

Every 3rd gen Fit is going to have injectors issues over time because of the engine design. Direct injection.

Regarding the fuel injector issue you experienced with the 2016 model, Honda issued a service bulletin extending the warranty for certain vehicles affected by fuel injector problems. The bulletin covers vehicles experiencing specific diagnostic trouble codes related to the fuel injectors and provides a warranty extension to 10 years from the original date of purchase or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first. Autodesk software upgrade price. It’s important to check the VIN status for eligibility if you encounter similar issues.

2018 was the last major design change on the Fit. If anything was done after that it would have been very minor. Even the 2018 change was not that substantial with changes to the front end, I believe that the radio knob was added back, and improvements to soundproofing with I believe better windshield glass. And of course the Honda Sensing safety additions which may have been optional on some models(?).

Duly noted, Seņor N.

Just wondering: Are they destined to have injector issues or carbon buildup (on the valves) issues?

both. A catch can will go along way to addressing the carbon buildup, but nothing but top tier fuel, regular fuel injector cleaner, and Italian tuneups will do anything to help injector issues.
