Noticed this YouTube video. Kinda interesting to watch. Owner had a coolant leak but kept on driving and essentially burnt out the engine.

 

That is a great find and fascinating as I too have a '15. Did I understand him correctly that there is a plastic liner of sorts in the water passage (melted)? What's it for?
This may be false reassurance, but it was nice to see and hear him say that the intake valves looked not too horribly caked with deposits and how clean the motor was.

 

Thanks for this post. I agree it reassures me about the health of my engine.
