Headlight BUlbs?

Any recommendations for brighter headlight bulbs? I don't want LED or HID, and I'd like something that will last more than a month.

Let the recommending begin!

I would not recommend the PIAA Xtreme. They last about a year and burned out. First set was replaced under warranty. 2nd set didn't make it a year and I gave up on them. I've been running LEDs for years without issues since.

Thanks.

When you say LEDSs, you mean the bulbs you insert into standard headlight sockets? Did you have to re-adjust them?

Any recommendations for one brand or model over another?

LED Lights.

I also bought a set of the PIAA Xtreme White light bulbs.

They are brighter than the Sylvania Silverstars. Unfortunately like already stated they burn out in less than a year.

Check the LED Light Bulb thread for my answer to that thread.

Yes there were drop in, not a projector retrofit. I used these lights and pretty much run them on the entire time the car is on. I figure the extra visibility is worth whatever reduction in life of the bulb. 6 years later it's still working great. I did have to aim the passenger side a bit lower after, but that's easy. Beam pattern looks good and no one is flashing high beams at me so I guess I'm not blinding them

My yellow LED fog lights are 7 years old: NOKYA NOK7623 Pro Halogen Hyper Yellow H8 35 Watt 2500K Light Bulb https://a.co/d/6b5wAKO

Backup bulbs are also LED and also 7 years old,I didn't have the link for those anymore.

I recently did switchback LED for my turn signals and other than the faster flashing, I really like them. So now my front turn signals are running white until you turn them on, and then the flash yellow then turn back to white after the turn is complete.

Excellent reply! Thanks!

"I recently did switchback LED..." What exactly did you mean by that?

If you click the Amazon link, you'll see some videos. Instead of an orange/yellow running light by the headlight, it's running white. Then when you turn to signal it flashes yellow. After the turn is over it goes back to running white.

I tried plug and play LED. The OEM lens is not designed for them, therefore, the broadcasted light is not where you want them to be on the road. I had to return them for a refund. Maybe someone has found a plug and play LED bulb that actually perform satisfactory. In the end, I went to Sylvania Silverstar ULTRA 9003/H4. They are brighter than the OEM bults, but because they draw more power, mine only last maybe 2 years. I keep a replacement in the car if I have to replace them when I am on the road.
