Hi, I just discovered the forum. I have a 2015 Fit and like it a lot!
Here is my question: I'm in New Orleans, LA trying to sell it and discovered this forum and joined, but to list it for sale the forum says I need 20 postings first (this is my first one)
Is there some way to bypass this requirement? It seems like it would keep a lot of Fit enthusiasts from getting info on a certain car to buy, since 20 posts is pretty hard to get.
Maybe they could have a FS section for members with more than 20 posts and one for members with fewer than 20 posts. Just a thought.
I moderate some other Web forums (not this one). I can tell you that when forums set post minimums like that, it's to help ensure the people selling are at least a little bit known to the other forum members over time. Some forums with lower minimums see a lot of fly by night sellers, people who come in, really never contribute to the community, and then disappear after the sale. That's no good for the collective membership or the forum's reputation. We exist here to help each other out, not just to buy and sell.
