new front seat cushion

was thinking about refreshing the front seat on my '19 Fit with a new lower cushion. from Honda it would be around $628 !!! and that's at a discount ! so , that won't happen.
are there any options, any venders that sell parts like that ? that seat has gotten pretty hard compared to the passenger side, which so far, has gotten much less use

If the cushion is symmetrical you could switch it with the other one. I've done that in some cars.

Seems weird to me that the more-used seat has gotten harder instead of softer.

I agree with TnTkr that my first option for a cheap repair would be to see if you can swap with the passenger seat.

Option two would be to inquire at your local junk/scrap yards. I'm pretty sure you can buy a couple seats for $600.

might be my only real option, except my occasional passenger won't be too happy

it's gotten harder because its' collapsed a bit compared to the other one. they were never great seats to begin with, probably my biggest issue with the car

Katzskin Seat Covers.

Try looking at Katzskin Seat Covers.

I'm thinking about getting a set for the front seats for my Fit.

Or

Try a local auto upholstery shop to get a more comfortable Seat cover.

If you want softer seat, why not ask local upholstery to add some soft cushion between the original upholstery and cushion.

$628 is a bargain for 1.5 sq ft of foam. I'm going to rush into town and order a few - just in case. 🤣

Remove the original foam, buy foam from a store, and cut it to the same shape. An electric knife cuts foam very well.

How about trying a junk yard for seats? Maybe "wrecking yards" would be a better term. 😋
