What color fit would you buy ?
Hello to all My 99 jimmy is getting old last week I was told I need to replace the rear end and 2 lower ball joints so at 1200 I may just move on to a newer vehicle
Thinking about Monday going to place a order on the fit
Not sure if the car would look better in silver or grey but I am leaning towards the Silver one little hard to judge until you see the car in person.
Was getting about 14 mpg on the jimmy so these were the cars I was going to try out also all manuals.
Nissan versa note
Mitsubishi mirage
Chevy cruze
Toyota corolla
I am a avid cyclists so looks like the fit holds bikes really easy.

ops I see this is a double post what color would you buy
LX or ex silver or steel not sure I need a moon roof, but coming from a 5000 pound 4x4 jimmy with 140 hp I guess for me the fit should feel
pretty fast last the time I bought a new car was 1986 so been awhile.

I forgot to include the Mazda 3 hatchback, going for all these test rides on Monday my truck is leaking gear oil down the rear wheels so I will need
something very soon.
yes I agree the modern steel may look really rich in person, that's the color I liked the best on the accord sport.

Considering only 4% of the planned production will be for the EX-L Navi, they will probably be pretty hard to find. You may want to talk to a dealer about the possibility of putting an order in for one.
Modern steel gray for sure. I think it's the best color to successfully blend the black and chrome. My 2012 is dark gray. It gives the car an upscale look for someone like me, who's 50 and looking for a little sport and refined combined. More than just black, the dark gray gets it done.

Yes the dark grey will look nice, if you goggle 2015 fit their are images of hundreds of pics and the silver looks nice also.
Last week when I called a local dealer he said he had a ex silver 6 speed coming already so I may just but down a deposit since my truck has seen better days.
I was out on my bike today 60 miles and stopped by a local Chevy dealer and looked over the cruze but just did not do much I really don't like Chevy's inside look.
I did get to test drive a mirage and the car was kind of fast for what it is, on the highway doing 60 I was able to pass cars with half throttle so coming from a 5000 lb truck with 140 hp the fit should feel pretty fast for what I'm use too.
the undercarriage on the Mitsubishi looked little weak but is what it is I guess they sell them for 11750.00 plus tax but I rather spend the extra cash and buy something little more durable .

Now that I went back and looked at all the images the silver I like the best and grey would be my second choice.
So as long as it has a manual a LX or Ex will fit the bill, I like the better wheels and radio fog lights etc. I could do without the sunroof.

If you want Manual, you might need to wait a little. Currently, Honda seem to be only delivering CVT Fits to the dealers. Mostly, EX & EX-L too.
That's not true. The three dealers I've visited already have MTs on the way. They are being delivered, they will just be harder to find.
yes my local dealer said the same that a manual was already built and on the way, one more thing this would be my first Honda and I was reading a lot about Honda service overchage on service a and b etc.
Are Hondas expensive to maintain, I was just planning on doing oil changes and tire rotation for the first 25,000 of ownership, am I in for a much bigger surprise cost of this vehicle ?
And something about Hondas having not very good brakes and they wear fast.

1. Oil change every 5k miles or so
2. Tires rotation every other oil change so 10k miles or so
3. First front brake replacement 35k miles (front = disc, rear = drum)
4. New tires at 70k miles and 2nd set of front brakes and replaced the rear brakes also, though not needed since it was already out, mind as well...
5. Front axles replacement at 75k (car vibrated between 65-70 mph)
6. Front brake replacement at 110k miles
7. Car is now at 120k miles and still going strong..
On the rear brake issue, I know what you are talking about as my brother did drive a 07' Accord SE and he was having to replace the rear pads every 15k miles or so. Even replacing the rotors to aftermarket (Brembo) didn't help, but there was no other issue with the car. Now he drives a 11' Accord and haven't heard anything about rear brake wearing out fast from him.
