Slight change in plans, but I finally have my 2015!
Slight change in plans, but I finally have my 2015!
Dealer called me last night and said he had a Silver LX Automatic that was supposed to go to someone else, but they backed out.

Picked it up last night! Picture from this morning. Drove it SOOO much today, oh my gosh.
TOTALLY fine with the color change. Actually (and I'm TOTALLY not biased
) like the color better than my original choice of yellow. It's sleek, looks expensive, hides the dirt well and just rocks the Fit well.
I'll be honest with you- it's tough for me to do a review when my driving experience with other cars is so isolated. I've literally driven four kinds of cars in my life- and my last car was a '96 Nissan Maxima. HUGE, slow, big blind spots, weird smells. Just became too much to keep repairing so we decided to go for something else.
And the Honda Fit honestly has everything I (and someone else my age/ my living style) want.
Space.
SO. MUCH. SPACE!
The back is ridiculous. My dad test drove the Accord Sport while we were there, just for kicks, and it had literally the same or more leg room in the back! It's unbelievable! I don't need a car to be like a house, but at the same time I'm a taller girl- 5'10''. I don't really like being squished in, like in my sister's Mini Cooper.
It's so comfortable. The cloth seats are great, and the car really doesn't get that hot (it's been sitting out in 90 degree weather). Cools down quickly too. The screen and backup camera are great! I just love the interior, I love having Bluetooth. I love the voice recognition and that you don't have to go through a million subcategories before you call someone! It's so much safer, it seems like a much more expensive car on the inside. Just gotta get used to backing in with that backup camera. It's still a little crooked outside right now.
!
And the mirrors! My friends are laughing at me because one of my favorite parts about the car are the mirrors! They're HUGE! The '96 Nissan skimped on the size of the mirrors even though the car is about 1000 feet long for styling reasons. WHAT? Who does that? SO unsafe! Love my huge football sized mirrors.
MILEAGE
Unbelievable mileage! Don't have it long enough to know what I'll get steady. But my dealer dumbly sat around with me outside with the engine running to teach me the controls and wouldn't let me shut it off so my MPG to start was around 20 when I left the dealer. Drove it about 65 miles today! Shopping, friends' houses and such. My MPG has already shot up to over 33! It's gonna keep getting better I know it.
And I know some people may not like it but I love the fact that the speedometer changes color. Angry blue when you're flooring it, nice light green when you're light on the gas. It encourages me to drive more eco friendly, and lets me know how much I'm pushing it. You can turn it off if ya don't care for it though.
FUN
Okay. It's not a BMW. It's not an Audi. But it's DAMN fun! I loved taking it out on windy roads and highways today! It's got a little lag with the air conditioning on, but really not that much! It was still quick and handling so well and weaving through traffic when I needed to. It's a nimble little thing, my new silver fox.
And it's smooth! The ride is shockingly smooth for such a small car. My gigantic Nissan had a terrible ride compared to the Fit! Goes over bumps well. The steering wheel is a bit light but I think that adds to the smoothness. It's not flying over roads with no control. You just glide onto roads like melting butter. Honestly compares with my dad's BMW 3-Series in the ride. Not as good of course, but it's still up there! So, so smooth.
SIZE
Even though the inside feels like a sedan, it's still a teeny little compact car! Like I said before it's nimble and quick and can weave through traffic (and it's SO easy to because of those big mirrors) and park in small spaces and back out (thanks, backup camera!) because it's so little!
It's SO stylish, too. Like I said before, looks more expensive than it is. LOVE it, I think it's so quirky and cute. I liked describing it to my sister as resembling a "Civic hatchback".
Super great, super stylish.
Anyway, sorry I ranted. I'll post more pictures and if you need questions answered feel free to ask me here or VM me!

Am sure your MPG will improve. Light on the pedal, light on the gas bill!!
The steering is the one thing I was pleasantly enamoured with when I took a drive on an EX CVT last Monday. Its so effortless and everydayish!!!
Congrats and enjoy the drive. Await your pics!!!

I agree completely. For those of us who are waiting for ours to show up at the dealer, seeing new ones show up on FF with accompanying photos and descriptions is great therapy.
Keep them coming!
Keep them coming!
Few more photos!

It's fun to read a happy new owner's impressions of their purchase. Your enthusiasm is affecting, and while I'm not real jazzed about having car payments again, I am definitely looking forward to completing the purchase of my new '15 Fit. Congrats on your new car.
