Congrats! The blue is just lovely I don't think that I have a true least favorite color, as the Fit just looks great in all the available colors.

I don't think we have a dedicated picture thread yet, but Rottboy has asked for one from the mods if I'm not mistaken.

I've got the same trim level as you, so I'm looking forward to reading your thoughts. I never thought I'd enjoy a car so much as I do my little Fit!

The fruits of patiently waiting!!! Ya got the exact color you wanted and its looking perfect.

As xStitchx state correctly, have asked the mods. Am sure they'll create a dedicated pics section for the GK. For now, will follow your lead and continue to be patient!!!!

Enjoy the Drive!!!!

Guitaryojedi,
Where did you buy your rear bumper applique and how did you install it? Is it as easy as just laying it down like a sticker?

I am picking up my blue EX-L tonight and the rear bumper applique is the accessory I am most interested in but the dealer is out of stock. I saw a 2009 Fit and the rear bumper top had a ton of deep ugly scratches so that seems like a good area to protect.

I just joined this forum and this is my first post. Everybody seems cool and there is a ton of useful information here. Looking forward to buying my first new car tonight!

The bumper applique is a stick-on. Easy install but best to mark the placement area first (use masking tape). Lots pics here for reference.

Welcome to this very friendly and extremely helpful forum. When u think we know all there is, someone here has something new and productive to share.

2015 Fit as yr 1st car???? After the 10yrs. there will be no regrets!

Advance congrats for tonight. Post pics and impressions!!!

Amy, the blue is OMG GORGEOUS!!! It was my very close second choice to the White Orchid Pearl and if I had found one in the EX package first, I would have taken it gladly. The one my dealer found that was blue was an LX and I wanted EX. Congratulations on your gorgeous purchase!

Thanks everyone! Yes, the blue is just as beautiful in person as it is in pictures. So shiny and reflective with lots of metallic flake!!!

Would be glad to take more pictures by request for people researching. I think everyone with EX-Ls have already covered it though! Also have Prius C if anyone wants some basic comparisons, they don't have many of the same features though.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'd be interested in seeing the pictures comparing the Fit with the Prius C. That's another car I'd be considering...

Thanks!

I would also like to hear Amy's comments comparing the Fit and the Prius C.

My expectation is that the Fit is miles ahead in every possible way, with the sole exception of fuel economy. I know that the Fit is much faster, will fit more cargo, is much more comfortable for people, has many more features, and rides much better. But who knows, there may be something the Prius C does well besides get good fuel economy

I was looking at the Splashguards myself, especially since I have a gravel driveway! Was the install fairly straightforward?

OK! Here are some basic comparison pictures. The main differences are headroom in the back since the Prius C slopes down more (still fine for most people, had 6' large man back there and he was fine), trunk space (Prius C much less), ans passenger space (Prius C few inches less looks like, still not bad for class but not best.)

I wouldn't compare the trim levels, these pictures are of the 2013 Prius C trim level 3, there are 4 levels and the 4 has stuff like heated mirrors & seats, fake leather "softex", and sunroof. Of course less features for same money sounds bad, but it is a hybrid and that's where the rest of the money is. We average 60 mpg mixed highway and city driving! Love both!!

The C's fuel economy goes a long way for me, but the higher price you have to pay for it kind of makes up for that. I really don't care for the C's interior - it looks cheap to me considering the price of the car, even for a hybrid. The interior door panels on the C really turn me off. Very plasticy.

What are your thoughts on the interior quality of the two cars, Amy?

Well, The Prius C is really a very similar price point if you consider the features. Slightly less features for same money than with the Fit, but like I said, with the car coming with 2 engines you just pay the price in less features.
Toyota Prius c | Hybrid Hatchback

I think it is a very fair price point with some good features. The fabric seats in the Prius C are better looking than in the Fit (from pictures I've seen only.) The interior is definitely plasticy. It has a cheaper look to it on the doors with the light color rather than black, but a similar plastic feel to the Fit. Black is just better at tricking your mind.

The dash has lots of plastic in the Prius C, no soft touch materials like the Fit. But it has some metal look plastic which is neat to me. I love the cubby over the glove compartment. And it does have a useable armrest. I don't like the plastic wheel but that is easily corrected with a cover. It does have auto A/C while the Fit doesn't, but the Fit has auto off lights while The Prius C doesn't. So all in all for me they are pretty equal vehicles.

Cost about the same if comparing equal(ish) features, lose some features and interior materials are lesser, but gain a hybrid vehicle with around 20 extra mpg. You can get navi on lower trims, three or four.

THis is from the Prius C trim level three like I have. You can tell in this photo more than in mine the light part of the seat is a metallicy gray striped with a faint swirly pattern. They are nicer looking than the Fit's EX fabric, but I guess that's personal choice. The center part is very smooth and not rough at all which is great when wearing shorts or a dress.

It also looks like the Prius C four with the softex seats includes an all black dash with potentially upgraded materials if the plastic in the white/beige color is a bother. But, the Fit has lots of plastics too, they are just all black! Plasticy is what you get with a cheap car

Thanks for that review. As one who owns both of the cars I'm looking at, I really appreciate your insights!
