100% with you I sold a 2011 Camry SE V6 to buy my '13 Fit. I couldn't stand the auto and only bought it bc the girlfriend refused to learn to drive stick. I decided she could learn to drive stick or buy her own damn car. She can drive stick now

Hope Honda gives you the manual as I can't stand driving autos either I hated my Camry despite how much faster and more comfortable it was!

You should get some "save the stick" stickers!

Congrats, OP-- too cool!

Here's hoping Honda comes through with the manual. You're right, nothing else like it. :-)

Congrats

Congrats!! Glad to hear people actually win these things and its not just a bunch of marketing hype with nobody winning but Honda. Yeah, Honda still wins with marketing $$ but to hear from a true winner is nice to see.

That's exactly how I and many people feel, I always wondered if people actually won these things. So the fact that I actually won I felt telling people will prove its not a total marketing scam. I could have chosen a $5000 check but fuck that I will take a car any day, especially a Honda. I don't see honda giving me a brand new car again so I'm gonna enjoi what I earned.

So since you're getting a new Fit, can I have your S2K?

Rofl, nice try. I worked too hard & paid too much to probably ever get rid of it. It's way too much fun to drive & people always compliment me on it & sometimes ask what is it. It's a future classic

i am waiting for the final tally of what this "free" fit will cost you... Sales tax, options and income tax included.

i am sure it will be much less than a new one, but i doubt it will be free.

Same here. All the accessories are being paid for by them so my costs will include CA sales tax, license and registration & then next year claiming it on my taxes. I know ill be nowhere near $20,800 (what im being awarded) so I'm ok with the associated fees. It's America nothing's free and someone gotta get paid for all the work I did to win.

one of my race buddies won the chevy revitup event. he had to pay his options over base corvette, associated sales taxes and it bumped his salary up a few tax brackets. all in all, it cost him $30k. still a great deal, but it sure wasnt free...
