HR-V video

Here's a video of a European HR-V driving in the Alps. The US version will probably look similar.

Looking forward to the HR-V. It looks like a "big boy" Fit. It may be time to buy a little Honda stock. Once all the bugs are worked out of the current Fit, and whatever comes with the upcoming HR-V, it will be a little late.

I'd say the video was leaked by Honda. To good a view of the car. Note it seems to decel as it gets closer to the camera giving more time to shoot.

The HR-V has been available for a while now in Japan where it's known as the "Vezel". Plenty of images and videos of that car available, so no secrets or leaking needed.

I sure hope that was the trailer squeaking and not the car! :-)

Looking at the tiny rear window and the low roofline, I wonder what's the point of it... It doesn't seem to offer much more interior volume and will definitely take a hit on fuel economy with those big wheels.

Safer? It's still a fit body. Sitting a little higher, safer in frontal collisions or less stability due to higher center of gravity?

I bet people will like it for the perception of it being better because it's bigger.

I like it and would consider getting it. With the NH winters, I wish I had a bit higher ground clearance but love the Fit too much to make it that much of an issue. Depending on the final product, I would consider migrating.

As mentioned on another thread, I'm personally turned-off by the styling.

But SWMBO got up close and personal with one in Aoyama and "loves it." She sez, "It's larger than the Fit, has a good view from the driver's seat, and a higher ground clearance... perfect for Maine."

My prayer is for the hybrid with a larger ICE ... regardless, even if not a hybrid, I think it will definitely need a larger ICE.

(Currently: she: 2003 CR-V; me: 2010 Prius)
