As a former modded 2010 fit owner and new BLK GK EX-L I'm never a fan of DRL's. Yes, I'm aware of the laws and will turn them on when weather permits.

Who figured out which pin to pull out to disable The DRL?

 

on my ge8 it was as simple as pulling the fuse. still waiting on my 15 to come in but im assuming/hoping its just as simple. i am also not a fan of drl

 

Looking in the GK owners manual, its fuse #17 under the hood.

 

Haven't looked into this at all. DRL never bothered me. If I had to guess there is a separate relay that turns on the DRL's after you shift out of park or release the hand brake in a manual. Likely just a fuse underneath the dash or under the hood you can remove so the DRL circuit is unpowered. It shouldn't affect the normal headlight function.

 

Its the handbrake on the CVT as well.

 

Makes sense, though I don't know many automatic tranny drivers who even use their emergency brake. Some even tell me they don't know if theirs works HAHA!

 

Yeah. I always use mine but its a habit from my manual days.

Not sure why people don't though. I'd rather rely on the brake than the transmission to make sure the car doesn't roll away. Those parking pawls break...

 

I disable mine by pulling the fuse # 25 under the drive side kick panel. I have installed HID kit and it was always on so I had to pull the fused.

Even though the manual lists a fuse under the hood, that slot was empty. It's in a tough spot to get to, I'm hoping to pull mine this weekend. I need to contort to get under there to get it.

I ordered LED H8 and H4 myself, also did not want it on all day like your HID's, post pics when you can

 

To be honest I have LED h8 for my fog light and I can say that the brightness matches the stock brightness but just a white color. My 55w bi xenon 5000k is super bright about 3 times brighter than the LED. I brought the Cree led 4800LM and it's still not bright for my likings.

 

I have both LED with cooling fan built pushing around 3k Lumens each. I do understand that HID's are still the ideal choice which I had on my previous 2010 Fit. However, i'm sure these will surffice. i notice your in the city, what district are you around? you may Message me if you want to keep it private.

 

I'm in the sunset I'm planning a photo shoot for our fits if anyone want to join in. I'm not a pro but I have some sweet gears.

I was carrying the mail in a 91 Tercel. I forgot the handbrake at a country grocery store. The car rolled down a steep hill, crossed a road, through a shallow but muddy ditch only to stop in freshly tilled soil. The farmer was still there and pulled me back to the road as the old men at the grocery had a good laugh. The brake is there for a reason.

 

What LEDs did you get and from where? I tried some LEDs a year ago for headlight replacements and the bulb was not bright at all, as in couldn't see more than a foot ahead.

 

CREE LED has a fan built under the light, i guess its next gen LED. Ebay from a US seller, we'll see the results next week.

 

Can someone post a pic of which is fuse #25, please? There are two fuse boxes (one covered, one uncovered). The covered box only shows a diagram for 1 through 15. Should the larger fusebox on the left have a cover as well...?
