Mod bug still has me bitten

Ordered these today off Ebay at $42 they're inexpensive enough to try them over the OEM ones...

I like those! Please let us know how they work out for you. Are they illuminated?

They are supposed to be. We will see how hard to wire when they arrive.

Sill plates. They attach at the bottom of the doorframe when you open doors. Stops you from scuffing/scratching the paint when you get in/out. They are also illuminated and light up FIT when door opened.

I'm curious to know if these are genuine honda parts that "fell off the truck at the factory" or cheap knockoffs.

If they are legit and easy to install I will probably get them as well.

Non-Honda would be my guess. Either way will find out soon...

Interesting find. I've been looking at that painted flat space thinking that it probably wouldn't take long to get scratched up. I'll be real curious to see what you think once you get them installed.

When you get these installed I would like any information on how you did the wiring.

Thanks

U boxed and complete. Quality looks good. I lit all the emblems using a 12 v battery charger they all work well. Just from looking at them I say they are a good buy. Test fit looked good.
Tech will install/wire them up tomorrow... I do not mess with electrical....

What is the cost to have them installed?

These installation instructions for the official Honda Illuminated Door Sill Trim looks very involved.

It will cost me a Chipotle lunch for my shop foreman....
Non-Honda so wiring them directly to door switch.

If possible could you post any pictures of the installation.

I am thinking of going with the same Sill plates but I don't have a low cost shop foreman to do the job. I am versed in electrical work so I would be DIYing it.

One quick question -- It looks like the back plates have lights too - is that correct. I don't think the OEM Honda sills had lights on the rear sills....??
