Noticed something while changing the oil!

I just changed my oil today and when I was filling the oil I noticed a white plastic looking substance leaking out from the engine block... maybe its seal.. I don't know. Should I be worried?

Nope, that's white silicone gasket sealer. Unless its actively oozing out shouldn't be worried.

You have little white slugs coming out of your engine. Or maybe cookie dough. Where's the cookie monster ???

I would let it be. It looks like someone in Mexico wasn't so handy with the tube of liquid gasket. If you try and rip it out you could slightly damage the gasket so I wouldn't touch it. Maybe try wiggling it a little with your finger to see if it simply breaks off. I had little pieces of liquid gasket break off when I sealed my transmission housing.

Its Honda bond. Don’t touch it, its not worth damaging the gasket.

Oh heavens no, its just as if ketchup ran out of your burger when you put the bun on. Its just excess displacement of gasket sealer thats all. If it bugs you carefully trim it with a razor knife.

If you remove that piece of gasket, the weight advantage alone should give you a gain of at least 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000001 hp and perhaps 1/2 inch per gallon

On a serious note, it is just Honda Bond that is put on the valve cover to seal correctly in the corners. You are fine unless it starts leaking from this area.

Keep an eye on it.

It came squished. You can see the flat white area where the slug was sitting and what looks like silver internal fluids that leaked out when it got squashed.
