Picked up an HKS panel filter to install in the 2015 Fit's stock location but only purchased the filter by mistake. There is supposed to be a frame that comes with it from my understanding. The filter model is 70017-AK001




Well, I got tired of searching for a frame and cut the filter down to the stock intake box size. Surprisingly, it fit right in, snug, without issue. This is the filter just before fitting it in.




Drove around for a bit without any issues. Checked and recheck the stock housing and all seems to be good. The top of the stock housing mashes down on the outside of the filter to hold it secure. Meh, it's not perfect but it works. Plan is to test it out at Cecil County Dragway tomorrow night (9/26/14). I have no expectations. This is only a test.
