Could somebody point out a suitable jack point? I found that the reinforced plates on the side weren't long enough to put a jack + the jack stand so I was wondering if there was another point underneath the car. Ideally I would like to use a floor jack under the car to raise it and then put the jack stand on the reinforced plate.

 

Any point of the pinch panel should be fine.

 

Which is the pinch panel?

 

Its the same seam the lift points are.

I seem to remember reading something about the gas tank being flat and located under the seats, which is what enables the "magic seat concept". Could what we are seeing in the picture, be part of that concept?

 

The gas tank is concealed by the black plastic belly pan. It's roughly adjacent to the front muffler.

Honda did a pretty good job with that belly pan. Much smoother than the undersides of other econoboxes.
