Question GD vs GK- which do you like better?

GD vs GK- which model do you like better and which is more fun to drive?
I'm looking for opinions from those who have test driven and/or owned both models. Many articles I've read so far keep mentioning that the GK does not have the sporty handling characteristics that the GD has. Is this true?

You asked this question before.

Since you are/were a 2007 FIT owner, I suggest you test drive a GK and see what you think.

I would have to say that the 2015 is not as sporty as the 2007 model. It rolls more going around the corners and feels a lot more 'respectable' that the older model - maybe a little less fun to be honest.

Friend has the GD Sport auto, I have a GK EX CVT, so comparable trim levels. Here's the breakdown:

GD advantages:
-Proven reliability
-Hecho en Japan
-More sporty ride for sure

GK advantages:
-Interior materials quality
-Stereo capabilities and connectivity were heavily upgraded
-More power and faster in a straight line
-More refined ride
-Better MPG
-CVT is smoother than 5 speed and lower revs on freeway
-Quieter

At the end of the day, my friend wishes that she waited for the GK as she got hers in early 2014, and I'm very happy with my GK.

I wish I could have the GK's engine in the GD's body: really prefer the look of the older Fits. But I still love my GK

I miss my GE.

The GK is superior in every way. It's so much smoother and quieter that I feel disconnected.

That post shows exactly why the GK is an inferior vehicle in so many ways. The GK is an appliance.

I'd never consider trading either my GE or GD for a GK.

Guys is it just me or is the new 6MT noisier than the first generation 5 speed ? Honestly with the direct injectors it sounds a little like a diesel.... I am not impressed with the engine noise to be very honest - the rest I like...

Wow, perfectly said in so few words. I adore my 2008 and 2012.

The GK is a superior appliance. I appreciate and enjoy it. Have not fallen in love with the 2015 yet, and not sure if I will.

You're the worst.

And your opinion is meaningless, to me, to this site and to all.

I test drove a 13 sport before the 15's hit the lots. It was a fun little ride, but more of a kids car, lacking refinement. I am glad I waited for the GK. So much more of a car and much more for the money with all the new tech electronics. I enjoy driving it more. Smoother, faster and quieter.

the gk is fine i know people who have them I've driven one. its a boring drive. good for commuting. if you're an enthusiast the gd was way more fun if you're functional the gk is better. if you like modifying your car the gk has a limited aftermarket. the gd is vast. the ge is someplace in between. thats that. also the scion xb is iconic so to that tool who said it was ugly I'm gonna guess your like 17-22 years old and have no freaking idea what you're talking about. The fact of the matter is the GD is the original and like many things there will always be a cult following for it. Is it the best....its a matter of opinion. would i rather drive a datsun 240z or a 370 nissan z... the datsun wins every time.
