One small complaint

I have been driving my new FIT for a few days. I bought the car after reading some reviews and needed an entry level car to keep the price down.

I have always had reasonably nice cars (but none for a few years as I rode a motorcycle year round). So going to the FIT is a step back

Overall I am actually pleasantly surprised by the car. Mine is an EX manual and between the nice option package, and versatile interior I am very happy.

The only small complaint I have is that the front seat feels pretty cheap under my butt. I am 6’0” 183. I feel like I am compressing the bottom cushion beyond what is was designed for and that the lack of lumber support lets my butt slip to far back.

It is not really uncomfortable but feels cheap. I am heading down to the 160’s so that may help.

Anyone else feel this way?

I have leather, 218 lbs, and not one issue with my seating but again its leather, and firm but not too much. No slippage either.

Thanks you guys. Its actually not that they are painful. Just kind of cheap feeling.

What I meant by lack of lumbar support was that I feel my butt is so far back on the bottom cushion I feel a little like I am sitting in the crevice under the back rest. Some lumbar bump would push me out.

Around town its not at all an issue just a perception. As far as longer drives only time will tell.

I'm 20 lbs heavier and same height but don't have this problem. Wonder if there is something different about your seat.

Why can't you plant yourself where you think you should be? The seat doesn't force you to go all the way back.

I actually think my brain/butt is getting used to it. The last couple of drives I did not really notice it.

You know I think it is. Even with the mere 150 miles it feels different. I thought it was just me but I think its the seat too.

My wife road in it yesterday and thought the passenger seat was fine.

I guess this is a non issue now.

The seats in my 15 fit are better than what I had in my 2012 crv ex-l, they used cheap leather in that year of crv and the base of the seat(seat depth) was too short! felt really weird and not comfortable no matter what I did. The Fit is much more comfy and no leather. Honda's leather(used in newer models) is over rated I think, from my experience.
