Noob with new Fit here.
Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and just purchased my Fit about a week ago.
I've been following the forum for about a month now and I'm excited to start my mods. I'm new to this all and had a couple questions.
I know the first thing i want to do is lower it. I've done some research on my own but I'm still a bit hazy on a few things. I've been looking a different coilcover sets trying to compare and thought I would get some other opinions. I've included the links to the two options that I could find below (don't hesitate to suggest other options as well).
And just fyi this is my daily driver. I'm not going to be taking it to the track but in the future I do want to make some performance mods. If there is anything else I might need as far as lowering the car to prevent camber issues/any issues down the road suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Hey Dude! Nice car!
I have the silver ex manual.
I have no opinions on mods, I just bought accessories for mine.
All weather mats(weathertech), cargo mat, splash guards, Cargo hide cover, and Midwest protection pkg. so far.
Good luck with your mods.

When I lowered mine I kept the stock struts. I just changed the springs. The main advantage of the coilovers over my set-up is the ability to adjust the ride height. Luckily, I really like the height of my car with its new springs so I don't need this ability. If I were racing, coilovers allow weight jacking to adjust the height for a desired handling characteristic, or give more or less overall ground clearance if a course requires it. But if I needed to, I can tighten or loosen up the handling in other ways besides ride height. Keep in mind, if you do decide to race coilovers bump you up into more prepared class.
For the most part, this is the main advantage of them. I do not see those in the links you provided have adjustable damping, but I dd see they have plates at the top. I am not sure how that three bolt plate mounts with a GK so if anyone cares to comment I'd love to know. It looks like camber can be adjusted with them. My guess is the pictured shocks are for a different car, like a civic or something.
The other thing to consider is durability, service life, and ride quality. Many coilovers have a stiffer rate for better performance, where springs designed for stock struts can only go so high in rate before they over power the factory rebound. ride quality can be better with some better brands of springs. Also, many coilovers do not have as good of seals and require a rebuild much sooner than a factory style strut. But this isn't always the case.
For me, since I am also a daily driver, I'm trying to retain much of the factory stuff. Springs are a good experiment to see if I could live with the car lowered without going deep into my pockets (about $250 total including alignment afterward. I did it myself).
