New Fit Paint Problems
New Fit Paint Problems
Hello Everyone,
I just purchased a new black 2015 Fit EX yesterday. When I left the dealership it was dark, so I had a hard time going over the car. The next day when I went out to play with it and go over everything in more detail I noticed an area on the hood with discoloration.
I ran my hand over the paint and it felt smooth. I used my hand to lightly rub the surface to see if I could remove it and had no luck at all. I then tried using a clean microfiber towel to remove these spots and they were not coming off. It almost looks like a clear coat problem.
I called the dealership and they are telling me its a problem with the paint protection film. I don't think there is any paint protection film on the hood. I have never heard of this coming on a car from the factory. I am now starting to get the run around from my dealer who is telling me I need to leave it with them for two days to take care of it and am getting frustrated.
I should also mention that when we looked at the car and test drove it before buying it, this discoloration was not present. So it almost had to of been something caused when they detailed the car before we drove off in it.
Has anyone else experienced a problem like this?
