Hi all,
I have scoured the threads and see lots of different problems with the display of text messages but nothing that helps with my problem.

When a text comes and pops up on the screen I don't get a name or a number.
When I get phone calls they show, but not texts.

Any ideas? This is frustrating.

I honestly think it's like that by default. Only thing that shows up on my screen is that "someone" texted me and if I want the system to read it out loud or ignore it.

 

I thought that was unusual too. Before I decide if I want to hear the text, I'd like to know who sent it. But, I'm sure it's another safety feature, they don't want you spending too much time reading the screen while you're driving, makes sense.

 

Its the same if the car is parked or moving so I don't think its one of their safety features. It should work just like an incoming call where it shows you the name of the person calling.
