Can't lock doors - door open light

Since this morning I'm getting the "door open" warning light on the dash even though I double checked that all doors are in fact closed. It's also causing me to not be able to lock my doors, which is a HUGE deal!

What's going on and how do I fix it??

... same thing happened when I drove off the lot and I freaked out. Turns out it was just the hatch. Wasn't used to that because this is the first hatchback I've owned

The hatch is closed. Double checked, everything's closed. The thing is, it's parked and I'm at work so I don't see the door open light right now (it only shows up when you're driving), but I can't lock the doors and that only started this morning after I parked so I assume it's because it thinks there's a door open. I assume if I start driving again it will give the door open warning again. In the meantime, I can't lock the doors!!

Anyone??? I just quadruple checked all the doors (including the hatch) and it's still saying there's a door open and preventing me from locking the doors!!

Did you try opening and closing all the doors and hatch? Maybe this would reset the sensor that thinks a door is open.

OK, just making sure as I didn't know if you actually opened and closed them or just visually verified that they were closed. Time to take it to the dealer.

Do you have an Ex or EX-L?

I know this is a long shot - but could a key fob be in the car somewhere? The car won't lock if there's one in the car....

EX. I keep my extra in the glovebox, always have and it's always locked fine. Took it out of the car, still shows door open when I'm standing outside with all doors closed. Therefore I still can't lock the doors...

In the mean time try locking it with the physical key rather than the button.

Total shot in the dark but ... I'd try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, then reconnect and see if that helps.

How do you lock it with the key? I know how to get the key out, but where/how do you access the key hole?

It is about 3 inches below the driver's side door handle.
