Window open and close speeds...
There's something bothering me with my Fit and I'd love for other to help me out by doing a test. My front driver and passenger windows move up and down at different speeds. It's not drastic, but you can definitely hear them close or open at different times when I'm holding down the buttons. Maybe a little less than one second between the two. Notice le for sure. I've been in many many new cars and have very rarely seen this issue. Is your Fit doing this?

Never had a car that didn't do this. Cars I've had with electric windows:

Datsun Maxima
Ford Bronco II
GMC S-15 Jimmy
Chevrolet S-10 Blazer
Mazda Navejo
Mercury Mystique
Toyota Camry
Ford Ranger
Subaru Forester
Nissan Xterra
Honda Fit
Mazda 3

I think mine are a bit different, and have been from the start. I never paid much attention to it. It's not at all surprising, as the window motors aren't speed controlled with a governor or anything but just run however fast they can. A slight difference in the motors or the voltage or the drag of the mechanism would cause some small discrepancy in speed.

It hasn't been warm enough here yet to open the windows, so I haven't noticed any difference. I'll have to try it, now that my curiosity is piqued.

It will soon be time to race our windows against each other now that they have thawed out. Too bad they are not random speeds. All my friends want to race the fast driver one. Really is having different speeds a problem?

That is a nice feature. I've had that on previous cars, although they were twice as expensive as the Fit. I wouldn't really expect it on a car in this price point.

eh... 17k for a VW Rabbit... Jetta... all of them have it. And that was back in 2009. Hyundai's, Mazdas... and obviously Mercedes, BMW, Audi, etc...
Does the corolla have it, or any of the other Hondas?

I'very rented hundreds of mid size cars from National Emerald Aisle for decades and never had it for other than the driver window. Camrys, Optimas, Fusions, Foci, Malibus, you name it.

My mom's Accord coupe has auto up and down on both windows. I wish I had that in the Fit, even on the just the two front windows.
But to the OP's point, my 2008 GD's driver's window was faster than the passenger. I haven't noticed a difference in the 2015.

That is one of the nice things about auto up/down window switches, if you have them you don't worry so much about slow window speed, just flick the button and forget about it.

I can't count the number of cars/trucks I've had with power windows... and I've never noticed the speeds might be different.
