Question Anyone paint their grille yet?

I've been looking around and can't find any pics here. Just curious to see if anyone's painted their black grille to match body color yet?

I've thought about it. It might be too much, hence Honda releasing the car w/ it black.

I'd be worried how well the paint would hold up, especially in the front where it is exposed to a lot of stuff (wind, salt, rocks, etc).

I thought about painting the "bar" under the lower grille to match the body. It looks like something's "missing" with that expanse of black in the middle of the front end. Since my car is white, I thought I'd do a "mock up" with white tape to see if I like the looks first. Maybe I'd leave the white tape, as it would be more durable than paint.

Plasti-dip it. If you don't like it, peel it. If you like it, leave it.

I like the tape idea a lot. Its quick and easy to apply and remove, and won't damage the finish (well, unless you use duct tape). And from a distance you probably won't even notice any seams and it should give you a good idea what it will look like.

VHT Bumper Black Paint

Used VHT Bumper Black paint. It's worked for 6.5K miles... So far, so good
