That has a nice low burble compared to stock. Doesn't sound tinny at all. Engine braking must sound a lot meaner now. Nice! Are you happy with the sound?

IamNabil 08-04-2015 08:44 AM

I really like the way that sounds.

Yes I'm happy with the sound so far, specially when doing engine braking.

Hmmm. Is there a US source, and can I install it without a lift?

Source was a problem for me here in Australia.
Hard to find one, or they have to special order from Japan with shocking price tag. So I order mine from Japan with perfectrun.jp
Or you can contact HKS USA?

To install it without lift. Jack the car up and place car stand, then you can start. Only require removing 2 bolts and 2 rubber mounts, then use them again on new exhaust.

I really like your car. Nice and clean and simple. As you probably already know, that color is not available in the States so it's always nice to see something different.

Those are my first choice in wheels, but I was impatient and settled on something else. I'll probably get them eventually for track use.

Car looks great!

It's got that Spoon rolled tip look

Have more pics of the wheel set up? I was going to go Kosei K1, but after talking to them directly it'll be awhile if ever before they will make a 17x7.5 +45 again. They need 80 pieces ordered.

Here you go, but just be careful with copied wheels. Sometimes they end up(or worse) like the one in last picture.

What torque did you tighten the exhaust bolts? Also do you have any in car clips of the exhaust? I'm curious to hear what it sounds like in the cabin.

It was installed by a Japanese mechanic, I'm not sure what torque did he tighten the 2 bolts. He use hand tools only, the HKS instruction manual did show 19.6~24.5 Nm (2.0~2.5kgfm).
I didn't take any in car clips, it will increase noise level in cabin for sure. But if you worry about noise in the cabin, changing exhaust is no recommended.

Thanks for the torque settings will help.

As far as the sound level, I'm not worried about the increase in decibel as this isn't my first exhaust. I want to make sure it isn't "buzzy". I don't want it sounding like a bee buzzing around. All the clips I've seen on the hks exhaust have been outside the car.

I see, I do have this video link of a GK5 fitted with the same exhaust doing track driving. In car video, I hope you can see it.
20150614 ZIC Super Lap:CE-Racing GK5 ?? Time Attack.??????????????????

2Rismo2 09-08-2015 07:28 AM

Thanks for the link but I can't get it to work, must use some crazy plug-in. I'll mess around with and see if I can get it to work.
