Driver's window replacement under warranty...
I am scheduled to get my driver's side window replaced under warranty. There is a deformity in the glass. It's a little bump out that's hard to see unless you're looking for it. At first I thought it was just dirty, but tried to clean it off. Also tried to scrape if off with a credit card. The dealership tried to scrape it off with a utility blade and said it bent the blade. I've tried to frame it in the Yellow/Silver box:

I've had a noise in my windows for a while and they looked at it but couldn't replicate, although it happens all the time for me. I'm hoping while they're in there replacing the glass, they'll find what's causing the noise.
Also getting the passenger rear wheel liner replaced. It's hanging down and the dealership said it's bent.
I've also tried to get them to look into the front bumper being misaligned, but they're pushing back on it. They say other vehicles are similar. I'm not happy with that answer and I'll have them look at it again when I'm getting the other warranty work. Seems quality control is not a priority these days at Honda...

So got my window and wheel liner replaced yesterday. My wife took it in and they gave her grief over it, saying they don't have any info on the warranty repair. Luckily I had given her the paperwork saying that they were ordering parts under warranty, and I also had verified that parts were on hand. He even tried to minimize the fact there was a bubble in the glass, saying "It's not too bad..."
She also asked them to look into the front bumper misalignment again. They made no attempt on that, only stating that they looked at other cars on the lot and they also had the issue so they would not repair anything. Apparently they've got a bunch of misaligned bumpers and have no action plan to fix it.
Yes the bumper physically moves. No I will not be putting a band aid on this problem. Honda should fix it right, not have its end users Macgyver something. My concern is that it will just get worse and become a bigger problem over time.

"Honda Customer Service" also would not fix my CLEARLY misaligned doors, which was causing water leaks and warping of the door weatherstripping.
I finally found a dealership that would do it because it was so badly misaligned, but that took over 3 months and ~8 visits to 5-6 dealerships.
not to mention my dozens of other problems with this vehicle.
Have fun taking time off work constantly...

I don't have much confidence but at least I want a paper trail that I brought up the issue before my warranty expires. If for some reason a fix is found post warranty, I want to be able to say I brought this up prior and you couldn't fix it then, fix it now. Probably won't get far with that either but I'll do what I can.

i have a lot of good and terrible experience with cars and dealers.
given my knowledge and experience how dealers and cars work, if that happened to my wife's GK and if the dealer was unwilling to fix it, i would just take the bumper off to see what is causing it to sag and fix it myself instead of getting all tangled up and upset. it's not worth my time or energy.
this is a cheap car made in mexico, dont expect perfection.

My front bumper has the same exact misalignment as in your photo. When I saw the Made in Mexico sticker on my car, I was pretty dissapointed. Did not even bother to go to the dealer on this issue. I just took video footage when I purchased the car brand new, that's all.

I have a (very) little theory that the bumper misalignment is the result of the bumper upgrade to meet the small offset frontal crash test score. I don't think mine had it before I took it in to be upgraded and I wonder if they had to stick something in there on all the cars at the 11th hour that makes the gap bigger at the top than bottom. Mine's solid and very small so it doesn't bother me.
My salesmen called me to see how I was looking the fit. I told him about the bumper issue and he said bring it in. I met him at the dealership and they happened to have a red fit right in front. I showed him my front bumper and how I could lift it up and get things to fit flush. Then we walked to the one they had for sale and he could clearly see the difference. We showed the sales advisor and he showed another service advisor. They asked me if I had hit anything or any incidents that would have affected the front bumper and I said no, other than driving over 11k miles. They joked about the down force generated etc.
So I'm hanging out on my day off and going they can do something. If nothing, I'll complain to Honda na customer service again. Not that has accomplished anything in the past for me, but it's the most I can do.

Swing and another strike. So tech checked it out and everything appears to be correct and he can't see any damage or damages caused by an accident. There isn't any adjustment to be made they say. They even ran a car fax. Not surprised since I know there was no incident involved. They called the tech line and no answer so they will follow up and get back to me. I reiterated that this is not a one off issue and others are reporting it online.

I think that more than likely it is simply a matter of the clips not being attached. See
for how the clips look on the fender-side-panel. There is also a clip that attaches the bumper to brackets directly under each headlight, as well as the several clips that attach the bumper to the fender-side-panel. The bumper needs to be clipped to the clip on the headlight bracket, as well as to the clips on the fender-side-panel bracket. If the bumper is not securely clipped to the headlight, perhaps that is why there is a gap at the top where it clips to the fender-side-panel. It is very easy to miss the clip under each headlight. Who would think that the headlights might be used to help support the bumper cover!

IMO, Honda needs to pull it together, both literally and figuratively. The competition in the automotive industry is fierce. This is no longer the 80's or 90's when Honda and Toyota made small vehicles that were significantly better built than all the competition. I feel for a small sub-compact hatch, I paid a premium for The Honda Fit, which is fine, but I did it with expectation of "above average" quality and quality control.
I like my Fit..2016...but..I really feel that in many ways my old 2010 was better built, designed, and assembled.
It just felt more solid, tighter.
I didn't have to worry about misaligned body panels. It's kind of sad to see Honda products reaching the consumer with such poor final assembly.

my '16 was like that from day one. the glass came out of the door frame and ready to fall out. was funny as hell. pos.. after dealer replaced the glass and regulator, no issue.

This is why we still have our '08, but didn't buy a new GK. Wife looked over a 2017, but I couldn't even get her to test drive it after her visual inspection.
The Civic hatch, on the other hand, passed her test and we probably would have bought one if it were offered with a standard or clutch style auto. No cvt for this house.

this will be the first time ever i will have zero hondas in my line up. my first car was a civicHB and through the 30 yrs i owned at least one honda. i've bought about 30 cars new total.
