You're welcome to ask. It was a steal: $1,450 with everything working. Probably among the best deals I've ever made.

I wasn't looking for a Charade in particular. I had a Subaru Justy as a beater car that was worn out and was casually searching Craigslist to replace it when I stumbled across the Daihatsu. It was impossible to turn down, given the price and condition.

The irony is that it is too nice to be a beater and my newer cars, like the Fit, have done the mundane commuting.

Good luck finding one, they are rare. Not impossible, but a rarity indeed. Its a great car and represents how good 1980's Japan was at building reliable, solid cars

Yeah I'm at the age now where I don't ride wheelies any more unless it comes up under acceleration. The Vstrom is a great all around bike. I ride it more than I drive the Fit. You can always have both EcoBoost. Tell the wife you "need" one.
