I like original Honda carpet mats since I have concrete drive and really don't get out in bad weather (retired) just hate to pay Honda price for carpeted mats. Hopefully since so many people are upgrading there mats I will be able to find a like new used set.

The Honda carpet mats included with the Fit EX are horribly cheap compared to the mats that came in my '09 Fit Sport. Thin, flimsy and poor fitting. I bought Weather Tech floorliners for the car, originally intending to use them just in the winter, but I'm using them year-round.
What I'm saying, is you're not missing anything, and would be better off with something from the aftermarket.

The mats that came with my 2016 Fit were terrible cloth mats, thin and of inferior quality. I knew I needed something much more substantial. Maybe ok for the summer, maybe. I'm ok with my Huskys.
If you did not get mats with your new Fit, call the dealer and ask, because they are standard with all Canadian Fits.

American made LX Honda fits do not come with floormats or even an owners manual (they give you a CD rom). It is just another way for Honda to make $$$

Floormats, nope, but that's okay since I live in snow country and all the mats that came with previous cars were worthless when dealing with snow. That's why I bought a full set of WeatherTech digital fitted mats. They do a great job protecting the interior.

I took an old section of shag carpet, cut two pieces to size (with cut-outs for the driver side 'knuckles'). The material absorbs winter moisture, is easily removable for cleaning, and the shag knocks off sand, salt, etc from street de-icing. Just works. Right price.

This is correct. In the Comfort and Convenience section of the Honda Fit spec page it shows that only the EX and EX-L come with mats.

For what it's worth, the GE8 base model also did not come with floor mats (though my dealer, at least, threw in a set for free—a very nice thing to do).
I'd go aftermarket or DIY if I was buying floor mats. I haven't been super impressed with the Honda all-weather floor mats; the rubber seems to be wearing fairly quickly.

Mine didn't come with mats, but considering the poor quality of the $$$ mats that dealers usually force on customers I'm not unhappy.
I'm getting a set of Weathertech molded mats front and rear.
Question: Does anyone have the Weathertech Parcel Tray liner? Is it useful? Does it make it difficult to load long cargo with the seats folded?

We have WeatherTech products lining our Prius V's floor and rear cargo area and they are great. They were $pendy but worth it.

I had the same reaction. I purchased Weathertech ones just recently. Still, I was surprised. Mine did come with an owner's manual though, unlike some here who didn't get one.
