Damn, KentFinn, you're harder core than me. I'd have long ago written off shifting and gone onwards to see how much fun I could have with a CVT.
I'm sorry to see that it's about your simply being able to reliably start the car- and relieved that it's not about getting to have a remote start. But yeah, there's got to be a relatively simple way to defeat the clutch interlock. I hope it's simple and easy. |

The stubbornness was fostered by my mother. The doctors told her when I was born that I would never walk because of the right leg/foot deformity. My mother had me walking at one and they amputated the foot at the ankle when I was 14. |
I'm wondering if it's simply an interlock switch, maybe the wiring could be re-routed to a switch on the dashboard (maybe in one of the unused switch slots). Then it would be a matter of holding one button while pressing the other.

Yeah, but I'm sure one of those ratty aftermarket remote start places can bypass it for you.
