Does the 3rd gen have projector headlights?

Hopefully the reliability of these new lights is better than the HID headlights on earlier versions of the Toyota Prius.
Toyota was forced to cut bulb price. Even then, replacing bulb required removal of front bumper, etc.
Ballast to up voltage was in wheel well and short-circuited from road salt.

USDM are using only Halogen bulbs with reflectors
JDM top trims and RS uses projectors. you can get a set from ebay but be prepared to pay a premium for those
or ... you can buy the CoPlus LED projector headlight for the same money ...
