Ultra Expensive Bicycle Article: Honda Fit quoted in Jest

This article waxes and wanes eloquently about the Merckx EMX-525 racing bicycle, that sells for $13,500, and up to $15,000, depending on options

No one grows up dreaming about owning a Honda Fit – we long for the Bugatti and the Learjet, no-holds-barred machines with exquisite parts and brilliant engineering.
We are famous. I do not agree with the writer's implication that the Honda Fit does not have brilliant engineering. Talk to me after you get a full sized dresser into the back of your compact car. Or 3 full sized racing bicycles.

"No one grows up dreaming about owning a Honda Fit" - Peter Cheney

This author suffers from Fit envy, but he doesn't know it. FitFreak community, how can we help this poor, misguided, physiologically disturbed person?

Invite them to consider how driving around in a Fit resembles sailing solo around the planet in a small, but well-fitted sailboat.

Ironically, I DID grow up dreaming of owning a Honda Fit, in a manner of speaking. I was never interested in the usual motoring objects of desire as a boy. Mustangs, Corvettes, GTOs, Hemi Mopars, did nothing for me. I loved small, quirky, unusual cars, like a VW beetle, or a Mini Cooper.

The Fit is a worthy successor to the cars I desired as a boy, and I'm a happy guy.

That guy is just pandering to the ignorant masses. He's not a journalist, he's just a shill for the same old, same old.
