Shift knob suggestions?

Just traded in my 2013 Manual Sport and picked up my 2017 Manual EX yesterday and I'm so pumped on the new Fit! Glad to be part of the new generation. The one thing I don't like about my new one is the shift knob. It's so tiny and feels super light.

This is my first car mod, I was looking for suggestions on shift knobs for the 6 speed. I checked out the OEM Japanese model but it looks like those require some tweaking to install, and I don't know if I have the correct tools to do that.

Any/all suggestions welcome! Thanks for the help and pumped to be part of the FF family :D :D

Welcome to the Fit forums. I know you will love the 6 speed. Here is a link to a shift knob thread on the forum. The picture of my Sickspeed 2 1/8 inch ball is on that page. The heavier handle is a lot nicer feel.

Thanks James! I noticed you had to machine an adapter to get that to work, are there any knobs out there that are an easy install?

Hartross :

They make polished aluminum adapter for about $11.00 on Ebay but it requires pulling the console to change out the old one. That's why I added my own spacer. You can go ahead and add the new knob and live with gap until you decide how to get rid of gap. Post pictures of you new knob when you install.

Sounds good. I think I'll give pulling out the console a shot. I like a challenge. Will post pics in the mods thread when all done!

Any Honda OEM style knob should fit - I have 4 that I rotate between having used on different Honda/Acura's I've owned over the years. A DC5 ITR oval knob, a Civic FD2 Type R knob, a Mugen CRZ knob, and an Arc Ti ball shift knob. All have a decent weight and I basically keep the shift boot's plastic collar off the bottom of the knob with red rubber bands.
